The Design Office: Terms of Enrollment

These terms apply to your enrollment in The Design Office, a live online course offered by Kaage Homes ("Kaage Homes," "we," "us"). By completing your purchase, you agree to these terms.

1. Enrollment and payment

Your seat is confirmed once payment is complete and you receive your order confirmation email. Enrollment is $2,497 unless a valid promo code is applied at checkout. Only one promo code can be used per order. Codes can't be combined, applied after purchase, or exchanged for cash. Price changes and promotions don't apply to past purchases.

3. Schedule

The Founding Cohort begins October 26, 2026. The full class and Office Hours schedule will be sent to you in advance. We may occasionally need to reschedule a session. If that happens, we'll give you as much notice as possible, and the session will still be recorded.

4. Community access

You'll receive an email invitation to our private online community on or around October 16, 2026. That's where the live classes, recordings, and resources will live. We'll let you know how long recordings and resources will remain available before the course ends. Your access is for you only. Please don't share your login.

5. Office Hours

Office Hours are a live group session with your cohort. They are not a private consultation, and The Design Office does not include one-on-one consulting time. Questions are submitted in advance, and Grace chooses which ones to answer, prioritizing the questions that will help the most people in the cohort. We may limit how many questions each student can submit per week. We do not guarantee that any individual question will be answered, live or afterward. Any follow-up outside of Office Hours is at our discretion.

6. Recordings and your project

Live classes and Office Hours are recorded and shared with enrolled students. By participating, you consent to being recorded. If you submit your own project, photos, or questions, they may be discussed in front of your cohort and included in the recording. If you'd like your project discussed without your name or identifying details, tell us when you submit it.

7. The Executive Binder

Your binder will ship to the address you enter at checkout, so please make sure it's correct. We're not responsible for delays caused by an incorrect address or by the carrier.

8. Refund policy

You can get a full refund any time before our online community opens on October 16, 2026, less $150 for the printed Executive Binder. Once the community opens on October 16, enrollments are non-refundable. To request a refund, email christopher@kaagehomes.com. If we cancel the cohort for any reason, you'll receive a full refund.

9. Educational purposes only

The Design Office is education. It shares how Grace and the Kaage Homes team think through a house, based on their own experience. It is not architectural, engineering, legal, financial, tax, investment, or real estate advice for your specific project or property.

We can't predict your market, interest rates, costs, or what your home will be worth, and we make no promise or guarantee of results, savings, or returns. Examples of past projects, including purchase prices, costs, and sale prices, are illustrative only.
Every project and every property is different. Before you act, consult qualified, licensed professionals, including an architect, engineer, contractor, attorney, or financial advisor where appropriate.
Some projects legally require licensed professionals and permits. This course is not a substitute for them.
You are responsible for the decisions you make about your own property and projects.

10. No client relationship

Enrolling in The Design Office does not make you a client of Kaage Homes, our design-build firm, or Kaage Homes Property Group, our real estate team, and it does not create a client, agency, brokerage, or professional relationship with any of them.

Nothing in the course, Office Hours, or our community is a design, construction, architectural, or real estate brokerage service, and no one on our team is acting as your designer, builder, agent, or broker.
If you'd like to work with any of our companies, that requires a separate written agreement signed by you and the company providing the services. Real estate services are provided through Compass and require a written agreement as required by Illinois law.

11. Course materials

All course content, including classes, recordings, the Executive Binder, templates, and the Sourcing Guide, belongs to Kaage Homes and is licensed to you for your own use. You're welcome to use what you learn in your own projects and, if you're a professional, with your own clients. You may not copy, record, resell, share, publish, or teach the course materials or recordings, or use them to create a competing course or product.

12. Community guidelines

Our community is a place for kindness and respect. Please keep other members' projects, homes, and personal information private, and don't share them outside the community. We may remove anyone who harasses others, shares course content without permission, or disrupts the community. Removal for these reasons is not eligible for a refund.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kaage Homes, Grace Kaage, and our team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any losses related to decisions you make about your property or projects. Our total liability for any claim related to The Design Office will not exceed the amount you paid for enrollment.
